The imp himself
Lee Andrews lies awake at night thinking of new ideas for his craft. He has always felt the need to create individual pieces of work and constantly challenge and question established practices and methods.
He has worked with wood since he could hold a chisel and apprenticed with the master cabinet maker Malcom Adams in a workshop beside the sea in the sleepy Devon town of Teignmouth.
After that, Lee gained greater woodworking experience as a carpenter joiner designing and making built-in wardrobes, kitchens and other high-end joinery work, but his drive to do something more creative soon took hold.
He now has his own workshop in the heart of mid-Devon.
